Liverpool are set to take on FC Porto in the second leg of their 2018 UEFA Champions League round of 16 tie on Tuesday night, 06 March 2018 at Anfield. Having won the opening leg 5-0, the tie is already in the bag and we can expect Jurgen Klopp to make a few changes in the starting lineup considering they play United over the next weekend . FC Porto will be hoping salvage some pride after the thumping they got in the first leg and it should be a good game considering how well Liverpool are playing at the moment
The game will be played on Wednesday night, 14th February 2018 starting at around 20:45 CET / 19;45 uk time with BT Sports broadcasting the match live in the UK while FoxSports has live coverage in the US. Midd-East and some African country viewers can watch the match live on beIN Sports.
Team News & Possible Starting Lineups: Liverpool have been one of the highest scoring team in Champions League this season, in fact only PSG has scored more goals than Liverpool so far in the competition. FC Porto on the other hand are well placed in their domestic league just 1 point behind league leaders Benfica but with 2 games in hand and unbeaten so far in the league. Liverpool will have their work cut out to get something out of this match.
Jurgen Klopp do have some selection headech but we can safely assume he will start with Firmino, Salah and Mane in attacking roles with Wijnaldum, Henderson and Oxlaid-Chamberlain playing in midfield roles. This is how I expect both teams to lineup on Wednesday night.
Match Predictions: Liverpool can outscore any team on their day but this FC Porto side have something about them who are chasing two domestic titles and possibly a decent run in the Champions League. They are unbeaten in their domestic league so far and will be hard to break down playing infront of their home crowd. However I do expect Liverpool to score at some point and I am going with a score draw in this one which will ultimately suite Liverpool going into the second leg in three weeks time at Anfield.
